We assist clients in determining their level of facility and employee risk to biological contamination. Consultation includes the nature of biological agent delivery, route of exposure, disease states and lethality and the mechanisms of their toxicity. The assistance outlines factors to be considered in the triage and medical management of patients exposed to the eight main categories of biological agents (pneumonia like, encephalitis like, cholera, vital hemorrhagic fevers, botulinium, SEB, ricin and T2 mycotoxin).

Consultation provides clients with knowledge needed recognize a biological agent attack; to understand the necessary equipment and personal protective clothing needed to safely work within areas contaminated by biological agents; and to successfully handle the tactical management of people exposed to these agents.

Included in the consultation is the analysis and design of HVAC equipment retrofit or new systems to detect, delay, or deny introduction of these contaminants into client facilities.

Under new OSHA/EPA guidance, employers who fail to provide for the safety and health of employees, including biothreats, can be held liable under the OSHA General Duty Clause, with fines starting at $2,500.00 up to $25,000 daily.
