i'm guessing on the year of 1960 - could only be off by a year at most.
My costume was a litter"bug". I don't think I fully comprehended what that was - all I know is that I asked my mom "what do I look like?" She took me to the mirror and I shrieked and started crying. My sister was a witch. This was a "photo op" with our cache bags at ready to start our rounds in our apartment complex. 04/20/07
Abe Lincoln, Yogi Bear, my sister Susan as a witch, yours truely as the litterbug, and of course - superman. Note "old style" tv on the left and hi-fi stereo behind us.
I remember the highlight was an older couple on the top 3rd floor that donned full length white sheets and made earie sounds of ghosts. Facing our fears and promise of a good candy haul brought us up there. 04/20/07
