Community Parks
Community parks serve a much larger area--up to two miles in diameter. These facilities have all the amenities of a neighborhood park plus the benefits of specialized sports area for baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, horseshoes, swimming, skating, reserveable group picnic area, public restrooms, and off-street parking. (Not all these amenities are available at every community park.) Click on community parks at the right for more information.

Neighborhood Parks
Neighborhood parks provide an easily accessible place for family outings, sports and the rejuvenation of the spirit. These parks are usually within walking distance from home and include play apparatus, benches, sport courts and picnic areas. Parking is generally street side and restroom facilities do not exist.

Pocket Parks
Pocket parks also play a vital role in a largely urban community. These small facilities can provide an important respite and provide a quiet green space to unwind or walk with your child or pet. Regional Parks

• Rockville Hills Regional Park – Rockville Road 5 miles out

Rockville Hills Regional Park, Trails, and the Open Spaces of Dover Hill, Rolling Hills, Serpas Ranch and Spy Glass properties also contribute to the recreational and cultural experience our residents enjoy.

These facilities provide a transition from the urban city core to the rich history of what our community used to look like and how it shaped the way it looks today. These areas host a variety of flora and fauna and offer spectacular views of our community.
