I met Ansel Adams at CAS.. I actually was lucky enough to shake his hand and talk briefly to him back in 1983. I worked at California Academy of Sciences and we created an exhibit of his photographs. I'm glad you posted his b-day - I wouldn't have remembered. When I met him he had become quite "rotund" and had massive hands - was very cheerful. One of my faves of his is "moon over desert". Your Yosemite book must be a treat!
