The Tax Group at Gaw Van Male serves individuals
and families, small and mid-size businesses, both private and
publicly-held, corporations, partnerships, and limited liability
corporations, as well as non-profit and tax-exempt entities. It
integrates with the Wealth Preservation Group and the Wine
Law Group in business and estate planning for many of Napa
Valley’s leading family owned wineries and vineyards.
Among
the Group’s members are two attorneys
with Master of Law degrees in Taxation; one is also a Certified
Public Accountant (CPA). We work as a team with clients’ accountants,
life insurance representatives, real estate agents, investment
advisors, and other professionals.
The Group handles assessment
and collection disputes with the IRS, FTB, and SBE, complex
1031 tax-deferred real estate exchanges, formation of tax-exempt
entities, deferred compensation, Private Letter Rulings, and
other administrative requests.
With active practices also in
Advocacy, Business Enterprise, Real Estate, Wealth Preservation,
and Wine Law, GVM takes a comprehensive multi-disciplinary
