Please w elcome our new hardware addition...a big ole fast printer. This puppy cranks out big color prints...fast! That's the quickest way I can describe it.
It ranked highest in the 11" x 17" size class in a recent PC World article (February 22, 2000 and fifth out of 15 overall...pitted up against smaller letter size printers. No other 11" x 17" got in the ranking.
We have stuck with QMS/Minolta since our original workhorse...the infamous QMS 860 "Hammerhead" which printed black & white up to 11" x 17". Back in its day it was also the top in its class. But now we've got color laser! We have a Epson 1520 which prints out gorgeous color but being an inkjet printer it's woefully slow...but this new QMS 6100 is fast 6 - 12 PPM color & up to 24 PPM black & white.

SOME RECENT USES BY SOME OF OUR CLIENTS:
Problem: John Cole teach martial arts...Qi Gong and Tai Chi. He wanted a nice professional looking diploma to give to his students. Problem is he was often on the road giving his seminars in Oregon or Washington D.C. (Job: 4171Cole)
Solution: We preprinted about 100 color versions that contained only the static information needed. John then went out and bought a portable printer that he could hook up to his portable computer. Now, while at his hotel room...he imprints in black the students name, date of graduation, and specific course learned onto the preprinted diplomas.
